About our Minister

Minister Stanley Williams began his ministerial career at the tender age of 11 after having been trained by a devoted father and mother as well as capable teachers in the body of Christ. Stanley obeyed the gospel of Christ at the age of 9 and was baptized by Brother James L. Cartherine while he was conducting a series of gospel meetings with the then Dorothy St. Church of Christ in Charleston, MS. As the Lord blesses him with wisdom and knowledge of his word, Stanley began participating in local fellowship meetings and sharing in gospel meetings. His formal education includes completing college with a bachelor’s degree in bible with a program emphasis in communication. Stanley continues to conduct gospel meetings, workshops, and lectures across the length and breath of this country. He served his home congregation in Charleston, MS for a period of fifteen years, and under his leadership they experienced growth both numerically and spiritually. Stanley served as the interim minister at the North Montgomery Church of Christ in Starkville, MS for 5 years. Stanley served as the only Church of Christ chaplain with the Mississippi Department of Corrections at Parchman, MS for approximately 27 years. His responsibility with the department included ministering to hardened and death row offenders. Stanley has ministered to victim’s families and families of the condemned offender. In addition to that he has also served as chaplain in the chambers of an offender as he was being put to death. Stanley has served as an associate minister with the Midtown Church of Christ in Racine, WI, and a distance instructor with the School of Religions Studies which is now based in North Little Rock, AR. Stanley now serves as the minister of the Southside Church of Christ in Greenville, MS where they are developing ministries designed to meet the needs of the church and community. Stanley is the husband of a wonderful sister in Christ, the former Averrill Ard from Moss Point, MS. To this union belong two children: daughter Sabrina Harris and son Xavier Harris. They complete and add joy to his life.

Our Mission

The family of God is challenged to consider the pleasantness of life’s conditions when love coupled with unity is pervasive. The psalmist captured such sentiments in these recorded words, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

When love and unity continue to operate hand and hand, there's nothing that the local church cannot achieve. The work of ministry, which is multifaceted, will be accomplished and many lost souls will be saved. The mission of each local congregation must be rooted in that which was given to Jesus the precious Son of God. Please see his mission stated in Lk. 4: 16-21; 19:10. Let each of us, God’s dear children adopt his mission, and make it ours.
